Skinny Jeans 8 Week Challenge Results

Alright everyone!  Each the contestants that completed the 8 week Skinny Jeans Contest have been officially remeasured and the results are in! The Training Studio Team would like to thank all ten successful finishers for being a part of something that has proven to be inspirational for so many more people than we could have anticipated. Each of these 10 girl’s have completed a very challenging 8 week program that included a strict nutrition program and a progressively challenging strength and metabolic conditioning program. All these girls have achieved something special for themselves and have the results to prove it! Before I divulge the top finishers, I’ll give those of you who aren’t already in the contest loop a brief overview and a chance to read what the contenders have to say about their results.

“I was extremely happy with the skinny jean challenge, especially the Results!!.  The 8 weeks went by really quick and the challenge was a lot of fun.  When I bought jeans that were a couple of sizes smaller than I was wearing, and much smaller that I was wearing back in March, I wasn’t sure if I’d get in them at the end of the challenge.  The food plan was easy to follow and the results were amazing.  I’m looking forward to the next challenge!  Thanks again!”

“The skinny jean challenge came just at the right time for me. Haagen Dazs Pineapple Coconut became a staple
in my diet, and it showed. I knew I was sabotaging myself, yet I couldn’t find the motivation to start back on the right track. I found out about the skinny jean challenge and I knew immediately that setting a goal was exactly what I needed to ignite that spark inside of me. All of the tools essential for success were presented to me; a workout and nutrition plan were set in place, initial measurements which were VERY eye opening, and pictures displaying the extra cushion I had accumulated were taken. I was ready! Each meal I ate was a small success, and every workout I completed took me one step closer. All throughout I always felt encouragement and support, whether it came from Mike telling me “run faster” while performing the dreaded intervals on the treadmill or Jules pointing out how now I was able to do push ups in bootcamp. I needed that push, especially during the first few weeks. As the weeks wore on, and it came time for those final measurements, I felt a sense of accomplishment. The skinny jean challenge inspired me, and because of it, and everyone at the training studio, I walk with a switch in my hips again! Thanks!”

“One day in mid-May during a boot camp class, I noticed a flyer for the skinny jeans challenge.  The premise was you’d get into jeans that are 2 – 3 sizes smaller in 8 weeks.

I thought – how is that possible? How I can “turn the clock back” in just two months, when it took me two years to get my body in the less than stellar shape that it was in at that moment? I am a foodie – I love food.  No way would I give up something tasty for something tasteless. I also have a 12 hour work day (including commute time), and I have a 5 year old, so I was not looking to spend an exhorbant amount of hours exercising. I have to admit – I was skeptical. But also curious. I was pleasantly surprised to find out there was nothing crazy about it. I even had 95% of the required foods in my refridgerator already. Another plus: the amount of exercise required had little impact on my already busy schedule.

After the first week, I lost 5 pounds, my energy level was up and I felt great. I was hooked! Throughout the whole program, Mike, Jules and Brian were supportive, informative and encouraging.  They were just great.  At the end of the 8 weeks, I had lost 10% of my body weight and more than 5% body fat. I went from a size medium to a size small.  While I had met the goals I set for myself at the beginning of the challenge, I didn’t want to stop there, so I renewed my gym membership.  I’m totally confident that with the help of Mike, Jules and Brian, that I will meet or exceed my next set of goals.
Oh, and I would DEFINITELY recommend the skinny jeans challenge!”

“The Training Studio’s “Skinny Jeans” contest was just the thing I needed to get myself in better shape for the summer. Everything was outlined and easy to follow.  I stayed focused and with the support of the other contestants, members of the gym and of course the staff, I was able to stay on track.  I feel that in only eight weeks of time I noticeably changed my body. It was a great experience and I am so glad I did it.  THANKS!!!!”

“Before working out at the Training Studio and entering into the skinny jeans contest, I would never have believed that I could follow such an intense program for eight weeks and see such amazing results so quickly.  I was feeling unmotivated and upset with how I looked.  But with the help and motivation of the Training Studio team, I totally surprised myself.  Having an individualized strength training program, bootcamps, nutritional counseling, and little healthy competition totally changed how I feel.  The workouts are always different and always a challenge.  Mike, Juliet, and Brian have totally changed the way I feel about myself.  The changes in my body have brought back my self confidence and I can honestly say that I look forward to working out now!!

NOW…WHAT DID THESE MOTIVATED LADIES GO THROUGH TO GET RESULTS FAST?!…

The Challenge: Each contender brought in a pair of jeans new or old that did NOT fit. The jeans needed to be too snug to either pull up the thighs or button. None of the contenders jeans fit at the start of the 8 week program.

The Results: After the 8 weeks, EVERY SINGLE SKINNY JEANS CONTENDER was able to not only fit into their jeans but they slid on and several were even loose! Great job girl’s!

The Scoring: The contest was fairly scored through comparing 3 different types of measurements- 1.) total percent of body weight lost 2.) total percent inches lost 3.) percent of body fat lost. Each contestant received points according how they placed in each category. The skinny jeans-er with the LEAST amount of points won overall.

The Prize: Besides killer results, the top Skinny Jeans-er wins a Spa Gift Certificate to choose how they would like to be pampered after all their hard efforts. Also, the top THREE finishers will receive a brand new pair of jeans!

So without further delay, here are the top three finishers in each category:

Percent of Total Inches Lost:

1.) Jamie Burke -10.17%

3.) Nanette Nuvolone -7.52%

Percent of Body Fat Lost:

1.) Jaime Burke 9.7%

2.) Donna Lombardi 8.5%

3.) Nanette Nuvolone 5.7%

The 1st Place prize goes to…..Jamie Burke!!!! Congratulations Jaime! We are all so proud of you! These three girl’s will all be receiving their brand new pair of jeans as well for doing such a fantastic job.
