EXCELLENT article. I wish it could get to every parent. Your programs at the training studio are safe and effective. With recent studies showing that kids spend the time equivalent of a full time job on electronic devices and TV...parents need to see that this program helps more than the physical aspect of a child. They are investing in their development as a person and the "strength" to be an independent adult.

I totally agree that an online food diary can help you stay accountable for the daily caloric intake you should be taking in. I must disagree with you regarding the apple and fat intake. An apple is a fibrous carbohydrate that will give you a healthy sugar in the earlier part of your day and contains zero fat in it. So an apple should be considered a carbohydrate source and not a fat source. You should absolutely watch the total amount of fat you ingest daily but do not count an apple as part of that fat intake. Unless of course it is a candied apple from the jersey shore:)

Thanks for posting.

No more than one day should be good as long as you are not a lot of other fats in the diet. You should try to enter all you can eat in a day in an online food diary tells you if you take too much fat in the day, you

It really depends on your goal. If your goal is to be completely immobile, then by all means, continue doing what you're doing. If you want to build strength then see a doctor and follow through with therapy. The reason medical intervention didn't work for anybody you know is because they probably half-assed their recovery and gave up.
